Amul Milk Prices Increased by Rs 2/Litre from June 3

 Amul, the renowned dairy brand, has announced a price hike of Rs 2 per litre across all variants of its milk, effective from June 3. The decision comes as a response to the rise in operational and production costs, as stated by the Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF), the organization behind the Amul brand. The last time GCMMF had raised the milk price was in February 2023. The hike is necessitated to compensate farmers for their increased cost of production, Mehta said.  Jayen Mehta, the Managing Director of GCMMF, emphasized that the price adjustment aims to offset the increased expenses incurred by milk producers. This hike marks the first increase in Amul milk prices since February 2023. India's Russian Oil Imports Surge to 10-Month High in May

India's Oil Import Dynamics in May In May, India's imports of Russian oil soared to a 10-month high, driven by low refinery capacity usage in Russia due to Ukrainian drone strikes. This increase in Russian oil availability has notably impacted Saudi Arabia's oil exports to India, with Indian refiners favoring the discounted Russian crude. This is the second consecutive month of Moscow having a share of 40 per cent or more in New Delhi’s oil imports. Record High Imports Data from commodity market analytics firm Kpler reveals that Indian refiners imported 1.96 million barrels per day (bpd) of Russian crude in May, the highest since July of the previous year.
